Our History

 In 1998, a small group of community 
leaders decided to establish a non-profit 
organization for the purpose of undertaking 
projects outside the confines of municipal 
government.

In 2006, the Board of Trustees invited a 
group of individuals who had gathered 
together to organize a Historical Society 
to join efforts in our common mission.

Today, the core of The Friends is a group 
of members who have come together to forge 
a partnership that is concerned with the 
preservation of a quality of life we share 
and value in Washington Township.
